Tim kept showing up.

While raising four kids in Los Angeles, he was also paying down past-due rent, month by month.

By the time $600 was all that remained, Tim had already done the hard part: made a plan, stuck with it, and kept building toward stability for his family.

That’s where NeighborShare, one of our ImpactFool nonprofits, stepped in to help Tim finish what he started.

This is the kind of timely, practical support the ImpactFool Fund is designed to help fuel: nonprofits meeting real people at the exact moment a little help can make a lasting difference.

Sometimes impact looks like one final brick in a foundation someone has already been building. 💛

Quick question. Why do students learn the Pythagorean theorem before compound interest?

The Freedometer is trying to change that.

It is coming to classrooms this fall and helps students learn investing through interactive scenarios, simulations, and real financial decisions.

We opened an early sneak peek and would genuinely love feedback before the full rollout.

Cathy is a mom in Jacksonville, NC who looked at what a regular job would actually pay after childcare and decided to bet on herself instead.

She started a romantic picnic business for military couples, which is exactly as wonderful as it sounds.

To get it off the ground, she needed a website, some business cards, and a price list. Under $400 total. NeighborShare found her a donor who covered it.

That's what our ImpactFool Fund is built for. Learn more here: https://foolfoundation.org/if-fund/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=neighborsharestory&utm_content=cathy

Imagine navigating the heartbreak of losing your spouse, parenting your young daughter alone, and returning to work, only to find a stack of past-due rent bills because you missed two paychecks to say goodbye.

That was the reality for Marcus. He didn't need ongoing financial support. He had a job, and a paycheck was coming. He just needed a short-term bridge to keep a roof over his family's head so he could grieve in peace.

We are proud to share how the Fool Community Foundation’s ImpactFool Fund is helping neighbors move forward. One of our nonprofits, NeighborShare, teamed up with Beaches Emergency Assistance Ministry in Florida to clear that past-due rent and stabilize Marcus's home right when it mattered most.

Read Marcus's full story in the graphic below to see the power of a timely lift.

Loretta saved her two cats from a fire, but she lost 40 years of belongings in the process. She found a new apartment, but as a retiree on a fixed income, she couldn't afford the basic cookware or sheets needed to actually live there.

One in three families can't cover a $400 emergency, and solving these specific hurdles is exactly why NeighborShare is one of our ImpactFool Fund's nonprofit. They provide a one-time boost to neighbors who are already doing the work but hit a wall they can't climb alone.

Three hands. Out of a full room. ✋

We asked a simple question at a recent event: how many of you actually learned to invest in high school? That was the answer.

If you are in the majority who had to figure it out on your own, that is not on you. That is a broken system. And the Freedometer is how we are fixing it for the next generation. Distributed through NextGen Personal Finance, it is coming to classrooms this fall and we just gave people a sneak peek at what is coming.

Full story and full video are on the blog. https://foolfoundation.org/blog/fixing-financial-illiteracy-high-school/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=blog&utm_content=freedometer-friday🎓

Financial freedom looks different for everyone -- and that's not a cliché, it's actually the point.

For some people, it starts with not having to panic when an unexpected bill hits. For others, it's having enough breathing room to leave a bad job without it becoming a crisis. The further along you get, the more your savings becomes real choices about your own life.

We're winding down Financial Literacy Month with the voices that remind us why this work exists. Because everyone deserves a shot at that spectrum -- not just the people who already have a head start.

What's one step you've taken toward financial freedom? Tell us below. 👇

A few more shots from Fool One earlier this month 💛

We had such an incredible time, and the Freedometer session with Tim Ranzetta of Next Gen Personal Finance, George Khalaf, and Clarity was a definite highlight. The room was buzzing with excitement about what's coming to classrooms this fall.

If you weren't able to make it, the recording will be available soon. We'll share it here when it's ready!

Fool on!

We have a big project heading to schools this fall! 🏫

It's called the Freedometer, and we designed it at the Fool Community Foundation to help students learn the ropes of investing in a way that actually makes sense. To make sure it reaches as many classrooms as possible, we’re working with Tim Ranzetta and the team at Next Gen Personal Finance to help with distribution.

We love Tim’s take in this video about building things with the student’s perspective in mind. We’re counting down the days until the new school year!

Want to see how it works? Take it for a spin here: https://foolfoundation.org/freedometer/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_content=freedometer
