Today, we celebrate the heart of our schools — our families, caregivers, Family Liaisons, and dedicated staff who make ACPS a place where every family feels welcomed, supported, and valued.

📅 Saturday, August 9, 2025 — 3 FREE community events with backpacks, supplies, food, and fun!

🕙 10 a.m.–3 p.m. | Shiloh Baptist Church
📌 1401 Duke St, Alexandria
📚 Supplies, haircuts, food, and games. First come, first served.

🕐 1 p.m.–5 p.m. | UNCUT Youth – Waterfront Park
📌 1A Prince St, Alexandria
🎒 Over 1,000 students will receive supplies, food, raffles, and access to the pool.

Today, we want to celebrate our amazing families and the important role they play in helping our students succeed. A big thank you to our Family Liaisons and the Family and Community Engagement (FACE) Center for all the work they do to involve, support, and empower parents in our schools.

To our amazing parents: Thank you for your commitment, collaboration, and shared vision of academic success for all our students. Together, we are stronger, and together, we are creating opportunities for our students to succeed!

Hoy queremos celebrar a nuestras increíbles familias y el importante papel que desempeñan para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes a tener éxito.
