Moments from an unforgettable week at the 2026 SAME Honolulu STEM/Engineering & Construction Camp! 🌺🌊

From day one, campers hit the ground running—building teamwork through hands-on challenges like Jenga builds and rockets, then diving into real-world impact with a concrete service project.

The week has been packed with energy and exploration—from orienteering and friendly competitions to connecting with industry pros and visiting sites like NEX Barbers Point to see engineering in action.

Now, creativity is taking center stage as teams design and build their cardboard boats—bringing innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving full circle.

The future of engineering is bright, and it’s happening right here in Hawaii!

We’re only a few days into the Army SAME STEM/Engineering & Construction Camp, and students have jumped right into hands-on learning, teamwork, and leadership development—building connections and skills that will last well beyond this week.

The first two days in Vicksburg, MS, brought an exciting mix of history, engineering, and creativity. Campers explored the historic Vicksburg Military Park while tackling leadership and team-building challenges, then headed to the concrete lab to get real-world construction experience. The day wrapped up with an impressive straw bridge competition—proving innovation can come from the simplest materials.

Between engaging activities, great meals, and plenty of collaboration, these future engineers are already making the most of every moment!
