It’s summer, and that means our team gets the opportunity to build new skills and have an extra day of paid work each week by taking over dough production for our dog treats! 🐾

During the school year, we partner with the amazing students at Pulley Career Center to make our dough. But while they’re enjoying summer break, our team steps in to take on the process in-house. Thank you for the amazing work you do for us throughout the school year!

From measuring ingredients and operating the mixer to weighing and portioning dough, our employees are learning and practicing valuable skills in math, following step-by-step processes, teamwork, time management, and attention to detail while making the all-natural treats your dogs love.

Community members and their four-legged friends gathered at Fort Hunt Park for the third annual Paws and Pour fundraiser benefiting Pawfectly Delicious Dog Treats, the Alexandria nonprofit that creates employment opportunities for adults with disabilities.

From agility courses and pet portraits to live music, mocktails, and wagging tails, the event brought together sponsors, supporters, and dog lovers for an afternoon of fun with purpose.

We had the best time bringing together our employees, donors, volunteers, sponsors, community partners, and so many new friends for a day filled with fun, connection, and impact.

While Paws & Pours is a celebration of dogs and community, it’s also something much deeper for us.

It’s a chance to celebrate our incredible team of adults with disabilities who show up every day with dedication and pride, and to recognize the community that helps make meaningful employment possible. 🩷

We’re so grateful to everyone who helped bring this event to life: our sponsors, silent auction donors, vendors, volunteers, Board of Directors, and every single person who purchased a ticket.

✨ Anne is our amazing Co-Founder and Executive Director who has worked tirelessly since our founding to reach more dogs with our ginger dog treats while staying true to our mission of providing meaningful employment for adults with disabilities.

✨ Charlie is our Operations Team Leader, who keeps our team running smoothly on work days, supports them with their tasks, and ensures everyone is happy at work.

✨ Joey is a Treat Baker who supports our team from Knoxville, Tennessee. He helps with making our bulk heart-shaped treats. Though we miss having him with us in Alexandria, we're grateful that he is still involved with our mission from afar!

✨Beth is a happy new member of the Pawfectly Delicious baking team and loves working with the staff and fellow team members.
