🏡 August 30 | Life Group Kickoff
Life Groups are back! Join us Sunday from 4:00-6:00pm at Chessie's Big Backyard as we kick off a new season of gathering in homes to grow in God's Word, build meaningful relationships, and do life together. Pizza will be provided!

🏡 September 4 | Women's Event
Women, join us as at the church from 6-8:30 for faith, food and fellowship - each of us coming "from every place to one table." Whether you're new or have been with us for years, there's a seat at the table for you!

“The Bible does not give us a tidy explanation for every particular trial that we endure, but the Bible does give us something better than an abstract answer. God gives us Himself in Jesus Christ. The deepest answer to all of the darkness in Psalm 88 is not an idea. It is the person of Jesus.”

Zachariah led us through Psalm 88 showing us that “faithful lament does not deny pain; rather, it brings that pain before God."

May we keep looking to Christ as we pray through the suffering and lament with other sufferers. What a wonderful Sunday together! 🤍

We were blessed to welcome a team from Amherst Baptist Church from Buffalo, NY, who came all the way to Northern Virginia to serve us! ❤️

During their visit, this incredible team poured their time, energy, and skills into both our church and Woodlawn Chapel at Fort Belvoir. What a gift it was to see this group tend to these spaces and prepare them to continue serving our community.

We are thankful for their willingness to travel, serve, work hard, and encourage us. What a beautiful reminder that the church is bigger than any one local congregation—we are family, and we get to serve the Lord together!

May God use these spaces for His glory and for the continued spread of the Gospel in our community! 🙏

⛪ PRAYING FOR OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS AT LA GRAN COMISIÓN DE SPRINGFIELD

During our service, we took time to pray specifically for La Gran Comisión de Springfield—for their church, their leaders, and their efforts to share the hope of Christ throughout our community.

We’re grateful that La Gran Comisión de Springfield meets in the same building on Sunday evenings! It is a joy to share space with another church family as they faithfully seek to proclaim the gospel.

Would you join us in praying for La Gran Comisión de Springfield? Pray that God would give them boldness to share the gospel, and that many would come to know and follow Jesus through their ministry.

We’re grateful to call them our brothers and sisters in Christ! 🙏

❤️ What a sweet time together! ❤️

Yesterday’s members meeting felt more like a family gathering!

We shared a meal, enjoyed fellowship, encouraged one another, and talked about all the exciting things God has in store for our church. It was such a blessing to sit together, dream together, and be reminded of the joy of being part of this church family.

We’re so thankful for each person who makes our church what it is, and we’re excited for all that is still to come! 🙌
