During Youth Councils “Beloved” weekend, our young people packed “Loads of Love” packets with prayer, purpose, and compassion. ❤️

This week, The Salvation Army National Capital Area Command has begun distributing them to clients through centers across the region — turning a simple act of service into real encouragement for people who need it most.

To every young person who packed, prayed, donated, and served: thank you for being the hands and feet of Jesus. Your love is reaching farther than you know.

Loads of Love 💙🧺

Our camp kids spent time giving back in a BIG way by packaging “Loads of Love” laundry kits for families at our Turning Point Center and seniors in our Seniors Choice program.

From soap to smiles, every bag was packed with care and compassion to help our neighbors feel supported and loved. 🫶

It’s never too early to learn how to do the most good. ❤️

Beloved in Action 🤍 LOADS OF LOVE

Last week at Youth Councils, we didn’t just talk about being the Beloved, we lived it.

Rooted in 1 John 4, we were reminded that God also commands us to love our neighbor. And together, our young people stepped into that calling in a powerful, tangible way.

Through our Beloved in Action tent, we assembled over 1,000 “Loads of Love” laundry care packages, each one a simple but meaningful expression of dignity, care, and compassion.

These packages will bless families at The Salvation Army Turning Point Center in Washington, DC, a two-year transitional housing program supporting single mothers (ages 18–30) and their children. Turning Point provides a safe and stable environment where families can stay together while mothers pursue education, grow in life skills, build financial stability, and step into a future filled with hope.

This is what love looks like.
Love that sees.
Love that serves.
Love that reaches into the depths of our neighborhoods.

We are holding these moments close to our heart, watching our young people move beyond words and into action, reflecting the very heart of God.
