Tioga high school hosted its first invitational for the carpentry program today. These kids did such an amazing job building these deer stands!

Yesterday’s First Annual S***t & Scholars Classic was a testament to what happens when a community truly comes together. While we spent the last 6 months planning this shoot, we want to start by paying homage to the Grant Parish Police Jury. It took six years of vision and hard work to transition the Michael D. Burns Public Shooting Complex from a former landfill into the premier community facility it is today. We are so grateful for their dedication and for allowing us to host our event at this incredible site.
To our 48 shooters who came out: THANK YOU. Because of your participation, 100% of the proceeds from yesterday are going directly toward scholarship funds for our local students. You are literally investing in the future of our rural workforce!

An event of this scale is built on the incredible generosity of our partners:
• Mountain Man Tree Service and Forest Consulting, LLC & Kohl Andes: A massive thank you for the donation of four shotguns for our top participants. Your investment in these students is truly appreciated!
• Meyer, Meyer, LaCroix & Hixson (MMLH): Thank you for the incredible raffle item! It was a huge hit and we are thrilled it was won by a student from Grant Parish Junior High!
• Vice Works, LLC: Thank you for handling the background checks and transfers of all four shotguns into our winners' names. Your expertise kept everything professional and seamless!
• Randy Tarver & Tarver Building Materials: A huge shout-out for the donation of shells for the event!
• Tioga FFA: Thank you for running the concession stand and making sure all of our shooters and vendors were well-fed!
• Caroline Willis & Modern Woodmen: Because of your generous donation, we were able to provide this entire event free of charge for every participant under the age of 18.
• Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office: We couldn't have pulled this off without you supplying 10 s***t machines. This event would have been impossible without your equipment and support.
• Grant 4-H & Grant Parish Sheriff's Office: Thank you for providing the Range Officers who kept the day running safely and smoothly.
• Louisiana AIM & LDWF: Thank you for joining us as vendors! Your expertise added so much value for our families.
