Alexandria Small Town USA Festival

Alexandria Small Town USA Festival Annual Festival in Alexandria, Indiana on September the 11th and 12th to commemorate the community's history.

World War II brought prosperity and fame to Alexandria. After surveying hundreds of towns, the United States Office of War Information selected Alexandria as the typical American town and told the world about it in a book called “Small Town, U.S.A.” Each year we have a festival to honor the history of our beloved town. This year we will have our same traditions, Ladd & Lassie Crowning, Antique Ca

r Show, and the Horseshoe Pitching Tournament. With many of our loyal vendors excited for a great festival with lots of crafts and items for sale. There will also be lots of food options to choose from. New this year we are having Junk In the Trunk, a community wide rummage where you pay per vehicle to sell out of your trunk for $5, or $10 out of a truck bed or van. There will also be an antique toy and train show in the 4-H building on Saturday, 10/05/13. Teen Driver Safety and the topic of distracted driving will be highlighted by local State Farm Agent Lindsey Cuneo. Also, Saturday night our First annual Cruise In of Vintage and modified cars, followed by a blood drive and Zombie Prom from 6-8 pm Saturday, October 5, 2013 at the Kiwanis Entertainment Building in Beulah Park off State Road 9 in Alexandria, Indiana.
