Happy Indigenous Peoples’ Day, every day.
Indigenous food sovereignty lives in daily practice. It’s growing, cooking, and sharing together. Whether it’s planting corn in the field or steaming meat in agave, Indigenous peoples carry ancestral practices forward and pass them on.

Today is one day on the calendar. The work is every day. Indigenous communities continue to lead the way in land stewardship and in reclaiming food systems for the generations ahead.

Thank you to everyone keeping these practices alive. 🌱

A bed can change everything.

This month, ALIVE! volunteers delivered furniture to families across Alexandria, including beds for neighbors who previously had no place to sleep. Through our Furniture Program, simple acts of service help transform empty spaces into comfortable, welcoming homes.

Thank you to ALIVE! Member Congregations Christ Church, Sixteenth Tabernacle Beth El, and Old Presbyterian Meeting House, as well as Bookstore Movers, for helping with furniture deliveries this month.
