💚 Looking for a way to give back in Alexandria this October?

Make a Difference Day is Saturday, October 24, and Volunteer Alexandria is connecting residents with opportunities to help their community.

One featured project is a cleanup and beautification effort along the Mount Vernon Trail near Gravelly Point, where volunteers can help remove trash, trim vegetation and clear branches. Families, children and groups are welcome.

And that's just one option. The latest volunteer opportunities include helping seniors, supporting local food programs, teaching knitting, assisting with community events and more.

🤝 Whether you have a few hours, a special skill or simply want to help, there's a way to make a difference.
