Meet the Stars!
This year, in support of our 2026–2027 bar year theme, “Know Your Worth,” we are celebrating women who recognize the value of their voices, experiences, and contributions and use them to make a meaningful impact in the legal profession and community.
The Honorable Loren L. AliKhan serves on the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. Before her appointment to the federal bench in 2023, she served as an Associate Judge on the D.C. Court of Appeals and as Solicitor General for the District of Columbia, overseeing the District's appellate litigation and representing the District in higher courts.
Prior to her judicial appointment, Judge AliKhan also practiced appellate litigation at O'Melveny & Myers LLP. She had an active pro bono practice and assisted with the firm’s Supreme Court and Appellate Practice Clinic at Harvard Law School and with the legal writing program at Yale Law School.
Join us on September 15 at the D.C. Bar as we celebrate Judge AliKhan and all of our 2026 Stars. The evening will provide an opportunity to hear from our Stars and connect with WBA Board members and committee co-chairs to learn more about getting involved with the WBA.
