Does your organization support community health in Iberia Parish, LA; Bastrop County, TX; or Harnett County, NC? CHC: Creating Healthier Communities is partnering with healthcare organizations to hear directly from organizations like yours. You know best what real support looks like, and we want to better understand how to support your work.

We want to hear from organizations working in these areas:
🏠 Economic & Material Stability: housing assistance, food security/nutrition support, financial assistance, or employment/income support
🚌 Access & Navigation: transportation assistance, improving digital access, or health literacy support
💛 Safety & Social-Emotional Wellbeing: safety, social and behavioral health, substance use, interpersonal safety, or aging and social isolation

Organizations helping communities navigate complicated systems every day are exactly who we need at the table.

We're looking for community-based organization (CBO) executives/directors, program staff, frontline workers, and volunteers to join a virtual roundtable, one-on-one interview, or short survey. As a thank you for your time, eligible participants receive an incentive for participation.

Nearly 3 in 4 caregivers step into the role without any warning. No training, no manual, just love and plenty to figure out along the way.

That's why we hosted "Caregiving Without Collapse: Strengthening Support Systems for Families," as part of our AARP-sponsored CHC University series. We brought together experts in caregiving coaching, emotional well-being, senior living, and aging policy for an honest conversation about what caregiving really costs and what real support looks like.

Right now, 63 million Americans are providing unpaid care for a loved one, work valued at more than $1 trillion a year. But behind that number are real people quietly running on empty: working caregivers, those caring for a spouse or parent with dementia, and caregivers who don't always get talked about, like the many men stepping into this role.

Our panelists shared their own stories alongside practical strategies, from peer support and coaching to a simple but important shift: treating self-care as a necessity, not a luxury.
