Ministries in Kenya are Hope Sakwa Christian Academy &JSS in Nyamira Co.and Mumomatei/HIV+ in Nairobi

Our vision is to provide in the areas of evangelism, education, and health through ministry and discipleship, quality primary education, work and job skills, health education, and medical clinics. Currently Hope Africa Ministries is working with two ministries in Kenya: Hope Educational Centre—a private, Christian primary school in the rural and impoverished area of Sakwa/Kisii, and Mumomatei Fo

undation—a home-based care ministry that serves HIV+ people in Nairobi, primarily in the Mathare and Dandora slums. By partnering with these ministries, Hope Africa Ministries provides support, encouragement, volunteer time, occasional financial support, materials and/or equipment.

Another bonus...yesterday, this former pupil of Hope Sakwa Christian Academy, and now high school graduate, came by to greet me. She thanked us for assisting her with her education and to show me she received a final grade of A-. She wants to go to university and become a nurse. I love seeing our former pupils come by and share how they are doing. It's like jewls on a crown! And she gave me a gift of eggs which I'm sharing with the staff tomorrow. 😊❤️🇰🇪

Some days are just extra special. 😊 Yesterday a grade 2 pupil came to talk with me. He wanted a book, a library book. Later, he came to show me a small grasshopper that he found in the grass and introduced me to two of his friends. All of this he did in English! You might not be impressed, but I am! English is his third language, and at age 7, he is able to talk with me, not only in English, but to me with an American accent. I see a great future for young Beniah. 😊❤️🇰🇪

Hope Africa Ministries, Inc. is blessed with so many caring supporters who sponsor orphans, widow's children, and medically needy families each year at Hope Sakwa Christian Academy. This year, 40 pupils are being assisted with fees, uniforms, textbooks and other needs. I just want to thank and appreciate you today! 😊❤️🇰🇪

Before I posted about the new BOM members, I should have honored one of HAMI 's founding board members who has just retired from the board after 14 years, Charles A. "Tony" Jones. Tony has served as Treasurer all these years, helped write the bylaws, got us registered as a non-profit, was our legal mind, his wife helped with many tasks, is a compassionate friend to the needy and less fortunate, especially the pupils at Hope Sakwa Christian Academy and the HIV+ clients and Pastor Gideon of the Mumomatei Foundation, and so much more! Thank you, Tony, for all your efforts, service, trips, and prayers over the years. We will miss working with you and wish you God's blessings.

We have three new board of management members: Pastor John Speight, Sabine Elbe, and Dr. John O'Brien. We are thankful for their willingness to serve as we continue to provide help and hope through missions and ministry.

There are many pupils at Hope Sakwa Christian Academy that are orphans, have widows/widowers for parents, or have medically compromised parents. We have a sponsorship program called Help4Hope that assists these pupils by providing for school fees and tuition, uniforms, shoes and socks, a sweater, a bookbag, and school textbooks. So far we have 34 pupils sponsored for 2024 and there are more that need sponsors. If you are interested in helping and/or need more information, leave a comment or PM me. Thank you. 😊❤️🇰🇪

There's lots of progress being made on our Hope Sakwa Christian Academy's new Pre-Primary classrooms and our Junior Secondary School science lab. Hopefully all will be ready by School opening in January. 😊❤️🇰🇪

Thanks to some friends, these items are available for donations to support the Building Hope for the Future capital campaign for added classrooms, kitchen, and offices at Hope Sakwa Christian Academy.
