The tables in the second floor lobby hold an amazing collection of Japanese literature and history, including personal stories of internment in America. The wire bookcases near the coffee table book collection have current bestsellers added daily (eg., The Correspondent).

On Wednesday, the Special Price table will have an eclectic assortment of newly-donated fiction and non-fiction. Remember, the shelves to the right of the Special Price table have last week’s remaining items, and also the newly reduced “red-lined price” books (offered at half price).

TWO great events tomorrow, October 3rd!! Shop our monthly
First Saturday sale, 10-4 AND visit the Sherwood Library Open House!!

During the Open House, enjoy pumpkin painting, crafts, activities, prizes, and light refreshments for all ages! No registration required. The Bookstore will have a trick-or-treat station in the second floor lobby for young visitors. Costumes welcome!

Don't miss tomorrow's First Saturday sale! On Saturday visitors will find exciting new offerings throughout the area, especially in the second floor lobby.

· Browse the top shelves in the science fiction bookcase and find new additions from authors like Dekker & Hill; Frank Herbert; Robert Jordan, many more. Also included are Highlander boxed DVD sets, seasons 1 through 6, plus Highlander the Raven.

· On the center table and adjoining carts find an assortment of beautiful miscellany, including art, crafts, cooking, etc. Some examples: Bruegel; International Glass Art; Bev Doolittle; Picasso prints; Mastering the Art of French Cooking (2 volumes, boxed set); cake decorating; many books about knitting.

· The mystery book section has expanded to fill the wooden case with all the regular hardcover and large softcover mysteries, while the “true crime” and “mystery anthologies” have migrated to the wire bookcase to the left.

· “Small Gems” are now on the bookcase next to the coffee table books. Small Gems remain bargains at 50¢ each.

· Our selection of games has expanded to the table under the large map, while the jigsaw puzzle collection fills the white bookcase next to CDs.
