Habitat ReStore Douglas County The HFHDC ReStore is a nonprofit home improvement store/donation center that sells new and gently used.

Seeking to put God's love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County is a nonprofit, Christian housing ministry that seeks to put God’s love into action by bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. Since 1997, Habitat for Humanity of Douglas County has built or renovated 38 houses throu

ghout Douglas County and has performed two critical home repair projects, providing safe, decent and affordable housing for 157 people. Our ReStore Grand Opening will be on May 1, 2014 at our 1211 N Nokomis NE location. The ReStore is a retail business that allows us to sell new and used building materials, furniture, appliances, and more to financially support our mission.

Something exciting is coming to the Habitat ReStore - and we want YOU to participate!

Introducing the ReCreations Design Challenge. Simply check out an item from the ReStore and recreate it into something new (or use an item of your own), then bring back to the ReStore for the ReCreations Silent Auction on August 6.

All items will be displayed in the ReStore from July 22-August 5, when everyone can vote for Most Creative, Best in Show, and Most Functional.

Mark your calendars for August 6 from 3-6 pm for a free event for the whole family!
* ReCreations Silent Auction
* Make & take items while learning about reusing & recycling
* Ice cream and Italian ice
* Yard games

Let’s to a future where everyone has the opportunity to live their life on their own terms.

Our Aging in Place program provides affordable repairs for ages 62+. This program focuses on improving safety, accessibility, and other minor repairs because we know /peace/ starts at home.
