During the early months of 1971 a few Masons from Central Louisiana saw a need of a new Lodge, mainly due to the population growth of Central Louisiana. This would be the first Lodge organized in Alexandria in fifty (50) years. Several members of Lodges in the area signed a letter of request to the Grand Master for the new organization, which was submitted with a letter of resolution from Oliver L
odge No. 84 F&AM, recommending the new Lodge. Fifteen(15) signatures were required, but a total of thirty(30) signed. Fifteen(15) from Alexandria Lodge No. 398 F&AM, thirteen(13) from Oliver Lodge Lodge No. 84 F&AM and two(2) from Gordy Lodge No. 133 F&AM. Brothers who were instrumental in forming the new Lodge were:

Webster N. Rasbury, PM
Leonard C. Sharbono, PM
