On this Tuesday Prayer, let's pray:
O God, my creator and sustainer of life,
you are my help from age to age.
Lord, accept my worship, my living sacrifice,
and transform me by your Holy Spirit,
that, I may love you with all my heart, soul, mind and spirit and then be able to love others as myself. I asked this in the name of Christ the Lord. Amen.

As you read this story from Acts 8:26-31, consider how the Lord leads:

Now an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Go south to the road—the desert road—that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” So he started out, and on his way he met an Ethiopian eu**ch, an important official in charge of all the treasury of the Kandake (which means “queen of the Ethiopians”). This man had gone to Jerusalem to worship, and on his way home was sitting in his chariot reading the Book of Isaiah the prophet. The Spirit told Philip, “Go to that chariot and stay near it.”

Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked.
“How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” So he invited Philip to come up and sit with him.

Almighty God, to you my heart is open, all my desires known, and from you no secrets are hid. Cleanse the thoughts of my heart by inspiration of your Holy Spirit, that I may perfectly love you, and worthily magnify your holy name, through Christ my Lord. Amen
