Troop 1906 Eagle Scout Omar Thondique will be rowing in the 95th Schuylkill Navy Stotebury Cup Regatta. The Stotebury Cup Regatta is the World's largest High School Rowing Competition. The competition is 20-21 March. Wish him luck as he and his crew represent Woodson High School.

Troop 1906, newest Eagle Scout, Omar Thondique is part of the NCAC Team preparing to lead the National Youth Leadership Training (NYLT) at Camp Synder this summer. NYLT is not like regular summer camps and is not designed for rank advancement or earning merit badges. NYLT is an intense and challenging hands-on leadership training program. It is essential that NYLT participants be physically, emotionally, and mentally prepared to handle the demands of this advanced training. In order to get the most benefit from this unique experience, participants must exhibit emotional maturity, a positive attitude, proficiency in basic camping and outdoor cooking, and have an ambition to serve in leadership roles.

The NYLT Instructors train for months in preparation for the course to ensure the participants get the most out of the training experience.

Marching to Make a Difference. On Saturday, May 7th, Troop 1906 joined the March of Dimes - March for Babies Campaign. The March for Babies energizes people nationwide to unite, connect and fight for the health of every family. The U.S. remains among the most dangerous developed nations for childbirth, especially for women and babies of color. The Scouts believe that "We can change that".
