Alexandria Area Circle of Parents "Parents Helping Parents Parent!" At the Alexandria YMCA Tuesday Nights from 6 -7:30 pm. Meal and Children's Program provided! No registration is needed!

Circle of Parents is a free, weekly parent-led support group where parents and families can come to work through their parenting challenges, celebrate successes and learn from each other in a non-judgmental and welcoming environment. Free childcare and a family meal are provided.

Neuroscientists scanned the brains of teenagers while they listened to criticism from their Moms. Areas of the teens' brains involved emotional regulation and taking other people's perspective appeared to shut down while they listened to the criticism.
