Thank you, Arthur Pattengale with Pope/Douglas Solid Waste Management - Recycle Center, for speaking at our March Luncheon!

Arthur spoke on the history, current processes of recycling and composting, and the future plans that Pope Douglas has to broaden the scope of sustainability. Thanks again Arthur and to all of our attendees!

Reminder for our March Luncheon on the 7th to hear from Arthur Pattengale! Representing Pope Douglas Solid Waste Management, Arthur, started in 2021 as the Environmental Assistant. He grew up in West Fargo, North Dakota and graduated from Concordia College in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in biology. He will be speaking on the recycling, organic recycling, emerging areas of concern and ways to be more sustainable.

What an exciting Alexandria Blizzard game last Wednesday against the Willmar Warhawks! Even with it ending in a loss, it was an awesome YP turnout with great food and drinks. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Dr. Juba spoke about the critical issue of Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). She knows firsthand the struggles to overcome opioid use and the modern tools used to combat the rise of overdoses.

It is the final weekend for the Garden of Lights walking light tour for 2023! If you haven't yet had the chance to walk through this amazing display, don't miss out. Open tonight (Thursday, December 28) through New Year's Eve (Sunday, December 31) from 4:30-8 pm!
