Thanks to your advocacy, $7.5 million in federal funding was secured this year for the National Spina Bifida Program, which supports research, improves clinical care, identifies best practices through the National Spina Bifida Patient Registry, and helps improve health outcomes for people living with Spina Bifida.

Walk-N-Roll Nashville Ambassador Spotlight: Marissa Eades 👟

Meet Marissa Eades, our Walk-N-Roll Nashville Ambassador! As a first-time mom to a beautiful baby boy with Spina Bifida, Marissa is passionate about raising awareness, building community, and helping create a brighter future for individuals and families living with Spina Bifida.

Marissa is a licensed esthetician who loves caring for others. Becoming a mom to a child with Spina Bifida has given her an even greater opportunity to do just that. When she's not spending time with her family, you'll find her thrifting, watching reality TV, or enjoying time with friends.

When asked what she wants others to know, Marissa shared:

"A diagnosis is not a death sentence. We have found strength, community, and hope through this journey. Medical advances continue to improve lives, and together we can keep advocating for better research, care, and support. There's nothing we can't accomplish together." 💙
