LGBT Meeting Professionals Association Creating a Global Events Community Where All are Equal, Included and Welcome.

The LGBT Meeting Professionals Association (LGBT MPA) is an inclusive nonprofit organization that supports members of the LGBTQ+ community and their allies. Don’t forget to register! IMEX America is almost here, and we’re looking forward to bringing the LGBT MPA community together for our Networking Reception in Las Vegas

📍 Beachside Ballroom at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino— please note our updated location!

On October 8, we were informed that an elevator would be out of service. To help ensure our event is inclusive and accessible, we’ve made the decision to move the reception to the Beachside Ballroom.

From the Mandalay Bay Main Lobby, go down one level to Beach Level and follow signs to the main entrance to the pool. Pool staff will direct you to the Beachside Ballroom. Signage will also be posted at the Mandalay guest room elevator bank and the main entrance to the pool.

Bring a colleague, invite a friend, and join us for an evening of connection, conversation, and community during IMEX America! Haven’t registered yet? There’s still time to save your spot. We’ll see you in Vegas! ✨

Everyone deserves to feel seen, valued, and accepted.

On National Coming Out Day, we recognize the courage it can take to live authentically and share your story. First celebrated in 1988, this day reminds us that visibility can foster understanding, challenge prejudice, and bring people closer together.

Coming out is a personal journey, and there is no single timeline or right way to navigate it. Whether someone chooses to share their identity openly or keep it private, everyone deserves respect, safety, and acceptance.

Meet Joebert Opulencia, LGBT MPA Board Member and President of USA & Orientours Co., with 41 years in the events industry!

Why Joebert serves:
“I’ve been a meeting and event professional for 41 years, and I wanted to help connect meeting professionals from Asia with LGBT MPA.”

The future of LGBT MPA:
“I’m excited about helping the younger generation in the tourism and events industry understand LGBT MPA, including why and how it was formed. With the support of our Board and sponsors, LGBT MPA is becoming more recognized as the Asian market continues to connect with the U.S. market and vice versa.”

Fun fact:
“I can turn a messy spreadsheet into something people actually understand, which is weirdly satisfying.”
