What things do you need for your next adventure?

Why buy outdoor gear you may only use a few times a year when you can rent it instead?

Alexandria Community Education’s Outdoor Gear Rental Program makes it easy and affordable to enjoy the outdoors without the extra clutter or cost. From yard games and camping gear to aqua mats, bikes, and kayaks, there are plenty of ways to get outside and make the most of Minnesota’s warmer months.

Most rentals are available for $5 or less, making it a great option for families, graduation parties, weekend adventures, lake days, camping trips, or just trying something new without a big investment.

Gear can be picked up and dropped off at Shenanigans Indoor Playground, with bike and kayak rentals also available at Brophy Park.

EXPIRED = Youth Protection Training (YPT) on May 31, 2026

OVERDUE = The new Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT)

Youth Protection Training (YPT) has been replaced by the new Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT). Every registered leader must have taken SYT by May 31, 2026, to continue to participate in Scouting.

Failure to have taken the course means:

Suspension of your account

No access to Scoutbook Plus

No participation in unit activities as a leader (including meetings, outdoor activities, service projects, summer camp, etc.)

Once completed it can typically take 24-48hrs for the course to show on your account.

If you have not taken the NEW SYT full 90 Minute course, you MUST TAKE THAT FIRST before you can take the refresher to get full SYT credit.

Scouts love to fish! Going fishing this summer with your Scouts is the perfect invite a friend activity! Fishing is now integrated into Cub Scout Adventures at every Cub Scout level and in Scouts BSA there are 3 merit badges to help them expand their knowledge.

Youth Protection Training (YPT) has been replaced by the new Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT). This training is required for all Scouting America registered volunteers and is a joining requirement.
