Thanks to our generous supporters, we raised $460 for the Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC). With the $100 match from Kids Sending Smiles, yesterday, we donated a total of $560 to the Center. The funds will help the Lorton Community Action Center provide much needed food assistance to needy families in our area. Thank you to everyone who assisted with this fundraising drive.

Today is Giving Tuesday, a global day of giving and unity in response to the increased need caused by the spread of the coronavirus. Please consider supporting our virtual food drive for the Lorton Community Action Center.

LCAC provides food, clothing, emergency financial assistance and outreach programs to southeastern Fairfax County.
There are two ways you can help. Whichever way you choose, Kids Sending Smiles will match up to the first $100 donated.
1. Make an online donation to Kids Sending Smiles between now and May 16. KSS will provide 100% of donations to LCAC and match up to $100.

2. Purchase goods through LCAC’s Amazon wish list. Email us a list of what you purchased or let us know through our page and KSS will match those donations up to $100.

Many kids and their families want to help those in need during the current pandemic. Since it is challenging to help while staying at home, we have set up a virtual food drive to benefit the Lorton Community Action Center. LCAC provides food, clothing, emergency financial assistance and outreach programs to southeastern Fairfax County.

Yesterday may have been the first day of school, but it is not too late to donate to our school supply drive for kids with cancer. When you go out to pick up that extra item your kid needs for school, please also pick up something to help out Children’s National Hospital. Due to health concerns only new items can be accepted.
