The MN Renaissance Festival has gifted us with 2 admission tickets good for any open dates in 2026.

We are pretty sure we have some little carnivores in this group, and since the festival is known for its giant turkey legs we are making this a MESSIEST EATER CONTEST! The messier the better…spaghetti faces, BBQ stains, ice cream melt downs, car seat mishaps-we want to see them!

🏹 When we seen a post about a young lady competing in NASP, we instantly wanted to know more about her. Thank you Sydnee for sharing your story with us, you are an inspiration to many other youth!

Hi, I’m Sydnee.
I grew up hunting with my family, and I usually sit in the deer stand with my dad. Hunting is something I really enjoy because I get to spend time outside and with my family.

I joined the schools NASP archery team last year. I got interested in archery because I would sit in the deer stand with my dad and wanted to try shooting a bow. When I tried it, I really liked it! My favorite thing about archery is the competition. I like practicing and trying to get better each time.

My dad has taught me a lot about hunting. He taught me how to be quiet, patient, and pay attention to what is happening around me. I’ve also learned a lot from my coaches and teammates on the archery team. They have helped me become a better archer.

One of my biggest goals is to keep getting better at archery and hopefully compete in the Olympics someday. I also want to keep hunting with my family because it is something special that I get to do with my dad. I’m excited to see what I can accomplish in the future!

From working with the guides dogs to walking the cover and hopefully putting a few grouse in the vest, it’s all about giving kids a positive hunting experience. Wesley (age 6) and his Dad were one of the Game Fair ticket winners from our contest last week!

Besides getting some father-son time, Wesley said his favorite part was watching the dogs jump off the dock! We are glad you both had a great time🤎
