All of us would like to give a big thank you to Anderson Orchard in Mooresville, In...I called and spoke with Kelly and told her about our Pig rescue and Sanctuary and asked if they had any good a little less than perfect apples available for us to buy in bulk. I have been spending 7.50 for a five pound bag of apples. She asked us to have a truck there before 6pm and this girl hooked us up with some amazing snacks for the babies.

We are bracing for extreme heat today and tomorrow, with temperatures reaching 108 degrees and high humidity. To combat the heat, we will be working tirelessly to keep our pigs cool. We have installed multiple pools and a muddy area for their use. Some pigs have requested a hose bath, an unusual but welcome request. Given that pigs lack sweat glands and can quickly overheat, these cooling measures are crucial for their well-being.

Meet Chopie, a vibrant 4-year-old who brings immense joy as Tom's lap pig. Every night, he eagerly awaits snuggle time with his Dad on the couch. Unfortunately, we've recently received concerning news about the bump on his nose. It's been identified as a tumor, and he'll be visiting the Purdue large animal hospital for further evaluation and a cat scan. We're optimistic about a successful removal and a positive prognosis for our dear boy. Given the high medical costs, we appreciate your support.
