Top 5 Friday!

Here are five great reasons to drive with a Pet Friendly Plate!

1. Help save lives.
Every Pet Friendly Plate provides funding for spay/neuter programs that prevent unwanted litters and reduce the number of animals entering Indiana shelters.

2. Your plate makes a direct impact.
Every penny of Pet Friendly Plate funds received by Pet Friendly Services go directly to spay/neuter programs across Indiana.

3. Support pets and communities statewide.
Plate funding helps shelters, rescues, community cat programs, and pet owners access affordable spay/neuter services.

4. Fight shelter overcrowding before it starts.
Spay/neuter addresses pet overpopulation at its source, helping reduce shelter intake instead of waiting until shelters are already full.

5. It's an easy way to help every day.
You don't have to volunteer, foster, or adopt another pet to make a difference. Simply putting a Pet Friendly Plate on your car helps Indiana pets every time you hit the road.

UPDATE

With the recent unprecedented flooding, we called for our community to help and you showed up! We cannot express how grateful we are for those that stepped up to foster or adopt an animal and for those that assisted with the cleanup/water removal.

Because of the flooding we have lost our largest foster placement. That being said, we cannot take in anymore animals in the forseeable future. Our priority is getting the animals currently in our care into their forever homes.

Homer's was founded on helping animals in our community as well as offering resources, support, and education. With recent events, we have decided to shift our focus to providing what we can to the animals in our community.

We will continue to host our monthly vaccine clinics while those supplies are available and providing pet food to those in need.

Please be patient with us as we figure out this new era of Homer's.

We still need the ongoing support of our community!
- Pet Food donations: the animals currently in foster placement require food. If we can offset the burden of our fosters with provided food that would be amazing! We will also continue to do our monthly pet food pantry for those in need.

- Donations: While in foster placement, we continue to provide any vet care for the animals as well as necessary items such as blankets, meds, etc. We rely on donations to keep running this rescue and we desperately need monetary support now.

-Adopters: Many of our animals are in temporary foster homes but will need thier forever homes. If you are looking to add a furry feline to your family please apply!

-Patience: Our board members and volunteers are people just like you; with families and pets and jobs. We are working tirelessly to respond to messages and run applications. We appreciate your patience as we work through this difficult time.
