Here are some important things you should know:
• The training is paid. At the end of the training, you will receive a $500 dollar honorarium payment.
• ILR OPI Certified Testers are paid a per-test basis. Payment for first raters if $40 per test, payment for second raters is $15 per test. Occasionally you may be asked to perform quality assurance on a test, payment for those assignment rages from $35 to $45.
• Tests are usually performed during business hours. Most tests are conducted from Monday to Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm EST.
• Everyone can apply! Most of our testers are language teachers or people who have a background in linguistics, education, second language acquisition and other areas of interest. However, we consider all applicants so please submit your application if this sounds like an interesting opportunity.
What we require from you:
• You must be located in the United States and have a valid work authorization.
• You must have reliable internet access.
• You maintain a minimum availability of 10 h per month.
• You commit to being an active tester for 2 years.
• You must have access to a landline phone or be willing to obtain one (depending on your language, other possibilities may be considered).
• You must obtain an Employer Identification Number (EIN) for tax purposes.
