On behalf of the Post 904 American Legion Commander we would like to say thank you to those who came to the Gravesite Memorial Ceremonies and the Parade especially those who marched with us. It turned out to be a beautiful day Weather wise. Remember and Never Forget our Fallen Hero’s who gave their life for us.

Everyone within the Town of Alexandria, ie Redwood, Plessis, Alex Bay, and Wesley Island for Flag places by American Legion Post 904. All Flags are placed, I, Scout Leaders, Scouts, and Churches did our best placing a flag by your Loved one. There have been some flags left at the cemeteries in case we missed someone for some of the Stones are hard to read due to Moss, grass, and age. Therefore grab a flag and place on loved one. If you need an extra contact the American Legion we always order extra. A side note which I found at the Island, if you have a loved one who never gets a flags and we find out because they are a Veteran without any Military marking on your loved ones stone please let us know, send us a honorable or other then honorable Discharge and you will receive a flag and be added to the Master List. This is a team effort, and we may not know all of the Veterans but will do our best. I wish everyone on behalf of the Scouts, Boys and Girls, and the American Legion Post 904 let us remember why we have this Day, and what Memorial Day Means.

Hello from Cooperstown!

We are just a few weeks away from The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum’s celebration of America’s 250th birthday on May 23rd with the Hall of Fame Military Classic: A Tribute to Service and Sacrifice baseball game. We have a full roster of 25 former MLB players, four Louisville Slugger Warriors and two Women’s Pro League Baseball Players participating in the Home Run Derby and Legends Game! They will be accompanied by seven Hall of Famers who will serve as managers and coaches. Each member of the game has a connection to the Military, and their stories can be found on our website.

Pregame festivities include free family fun activities including a bounce house/slide, balloon artist, face painting and photobooth. Food and beverages from local food trucks will be available for purchase in the concourse. Several Veterans organizations will be onsite sharing information and resources, and we’ll have a table available so fans can write letters to the troops.

Tickets for the game are priced at $22-$29 (inclusive of fees) and we are offering a special ‘Promo Code’ for Veterans and current or former Military Service Members. Any Veteran or service member who purchases tickets to the Military Classic Baseball game for themself or their guests will also get complimentary admission to the Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum on May 23 (a $35 value) with each game ticket purchased. To Alexandria Bay Post 904 Legion Members and family. Tonight’s Executive meeting and Membershio meeting has been postponed to Next Wednesday the 28th due to weather and unavailability of many Executive members due to illness and other commitments. There again meeting will be the 1/28/26 with an executive meeting at 6PM and Membership meeting to follow after that at 6:30PM.

Also the Post will be closed tomorrow 1/22/26.
