Alexander FLL -First Lego League- 44658 & 44659

One of our second field trips this past FLL season was a tour of Entertainment Inc. in Williston. We were shown the layout of the building, many rooms full costumes, organization of props, an explanation of their brand new sound system. In fact, learning how the sound system helps individuals with hearing impairments was the inspiration for one of our teams’ innovation projects.

While at Entertainment Inc, we were challenged to use our team skills to research and design a skit using a given theme. One team was challenged to find costumes and props for a 1950’s cafe while the other team was challenged to create the setting for a medieval court. What a wonderful day!!

We are proud of our performance at the ND State FLL Competition this year. For the first time, Alexander Public School qualified two teams!!

Thank you Putt District for allowing us to try our hands at mini-golfing!! We really enjoyed spending our morning with you!!

As we get ready for the state competition, we want to thank those that have helped us along the way. Mystery Ink in Watford City graciously showed us how they use technology to screen print, laser cut logos, and machine embroider along with vinyl sign-making. Josh even allowed us to come back and helped us with the lettering on our team t-shirts. Thank you Josh and the wonderful staff at Mystery Ink!!
