The Lake Martin Branch of the QDMA serves at the grassroots level to promote the mission of ensuring a high-quality and sustainable future for white-tailed deer and white-tailed deer hunting in the greater Alexander City, AL area. A Branch is a group of QDMA members who are interested in promoting the science and philosophy of QDM and the QDMA. QDMA Branches hold a variety of activities including

educational seminars, field days, kids’ days and fund-raising raffles and banquets. The Quality Deer Management Association (QDMA) is a non-profit wildlife conservation organization.

Pictures were taken the first week in April. This pine stand was too dense so we improved the timber and wildlife habitat by thinning and following up with a prescribed burn. Bullock county, AL.

People will be saying the same thing about Alabama one day. Too many hogs, not as many deer. It will just take time if we don't work to stop the spread.

Hunters across the Bayou State, many of whom have never encountered feral hogs before, are starting to see them on trail-camera images, and not surprisingly, their deer numbers are paying a price.
