Summer Camp 2024 has been going pretty well. It's hot, but the scouts are learning and making new friends.

The friends we make camping create strong bonds through facing challenges and succeeding together! Our troop had a great time sharing the newly renovated campsite Creek #11 at, always beautiful, Camp Tukabatchee! In the words of a scout in the parking lot, "Why can't summer camp be 2 weeks!?!" Farewell till next time!

Summer Camp day 5 - We are winding down our week at camp. Today was interesting. We did a launch tower build, Batchee Man Relay, and Water Carnival. All events were designed to encourage the Scouts to use their skills and work as a team. We might not have won all events but we were competitive on every level.

Summer Camp day 4 - last day of classes. A lot of merit badges were earned this week and I think the boys are about over this heat, I know I am. The day ended with Order of the Arrow events including, an ice cream social, branding, field games, and OA Vigil callouts.

Summer Camp day 3 - ended on a different note than expected. Severe weather has us sheltered in the dinning hall for a while tonight, but other than that it's been a pretty good day.

It is hot, but we are doing good.

Don't worry mom! We're doing well with the heat. We adjusted the schedule this afternoon to help stay out of the hottest part of the day.

Great campout this past weekend with the boys. We ate good and had a great time fishing in the pond. Thank you to the First Baptist Church of Dadeville for the opportunity to use your property.
