The Russell Forest Run is a 10K or 5K run through the forest. The scenery is beautiful, some of the hills on the 10K can be a bit of a challenge, but runners come back year after year to tackle them. The 5K isn't as demanding, but still has a few hills. However, the post race party makes it all better with live music and our World Famous Grits Bar! Race day is almost here! Are you going to join us? Weather looks great for a run on Saturday!! It's not too late to register!
We added Youth Sizes to the t-shirts this year and spit a few of age groups. Awards this year will be given in these age groups: 0 to 4, 5 to 9, 10 to 14, 15-19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 64, 65 to 69, 70 +

Russell Lands was able to make a $12,000 donation to the Alexander City Schools Education Foundation. Because of the support of thousands of runners over the past 15 years and the support from sponsors and volunteers, the Russell Forest Run has donated close to $133,000 to the foundation!

We are pumped to announce that we have added YOUTH SIZES to the T-Shirt selection this year!! If you need to swap sizes you have that option, just log into your account and edit your registration! Also, we are separating some of the age groups for awards purposes. This year we will award 0-4, 5-9, 10-14, 15-19, 60-64, and 65-69. Come join us for the 10K or 5K. The Russell Forest Run is always a fun time, especially the post race party. Keep in mind this run benefits the Alex City Schools Education Foundation!!
