🎉 WELCOME, LEADERSHIP LAKE MARTIN CLASS OF 2027! 💙

Yesterday, our newest Leadership Lake Martin class kicked off their year at Camp ASCA!

The day was all about getting to know one another, making connections and having a little fun along the way. Class members also found out which team they’ll be representing this year — 🔵 Blue, 🔴 Red, or 🟡 Yellow!

There were plenty of laughs, games and a little friendly competition as this group began what is sure to be a great year together.

We’re excited to watch the Class of 2027 learn more about our community, build new relationships and work together throughout the year. We can’t wait to see what this group of leaders brings to Leadership Lake Martin and our community!

💙 A big thank you to Camp ASCCA for hosting us and helping us kick off the year with such a fun and memorable day!

Looking forward to the year ahead! 🙌💙

💙 Leadership Lake Martin Blue Team Leaves a Lasting Legacy 💙

The Leadership Lake Martin Blue Team chose a project that will make a meaningful impact for years to come at Camp ASCCA! From building brand-new canoe racks to improving access and organization around the waterfront area, this team truly put their leadership into action through hard work, teamwork, and community service. 🛶✨

What started as an idea quickly turned into a hands-on project that will help campers and staff better enjoy one of Camp ASCCA’s most loved areas. The completed racks not only improve functionality, but also help preserve and organize equipment for future generations of campers.

A huge THANK YOU to Camp ASCCA for allowing this class to serve such a special place that changes lives every day. 💙

We also want to recognize and thank the generous sponsors and supporters who helped make this project possible:
✨ Alexander City Independent Methodist Church
✨ Commissioner John McKelvey
✨ C & T Electric
✨ Hawkins Outdoors
✨ Home Depot
✨ John Strickland
✨ Russell Do It Center
✨ Valley Bank

Leadership is about leaving things better than you found them — and the Blue Team certainly did that. Congratulations on an incredible project and unforgettable year in Leadership Lake Martin Class of 2026! 👏💙

❤️💙 Leadership Lake Martin Red Team Leaves a Lasting Impact 💙❤️

The Leadership Lake Martin Class of 2026 Red Team chose a project focused on serving families in our community by renovating the Lake Martin Trail Blazers facility. What started as one idea quickly turned into an opportunity to make a hands-on difference where it was truly needed.

Through teamwork, fundraising, and a whole lot of hard work, the Red Team completed:
✔️ Interior painting
✔️ Floor cleaning & refinishing
✔️ Exterior repairs
✔️ Door replacement
✔️ Gutter cleaning & drainage improvements
✔️ Trail cleanup alongside the Alexander City Rotary Club
✔️ Additional arts & crafts supplies for the children

Their work helped create a brighter, safer, and more welcoming environment for the children and families served by Trail Blazers for years to come. 💙

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who donated supplies, time, funding, and encouragement to help make this project possible, including Russell Lands, Russell Medical, Russell Do-It Center, SL Alabama, Chris Gaston, Staci Pemberton, and all the community partners who stepped up to help.

Leadership Lake Martin continues to grow leaders who are making a real difference in our community — one project at a time. 👏

🐾 Leadership Lake Martin Yellow Team Leaves a Legacy at Benjamin Russell High School’s Martin-Savarese Stadium! 💛💙

What started as a group of strangers quickly became a team determined to leave a lasting impact on future Wildcat generations. Through hard work, creativity, leadership, and community support, the Leadership Lake Martin Yellow Team proudly completed their community service project — a brand-new Wildcat statue and pedestal at the entrance of Martin-Savarese Stadium at the Benjamin Russell Sportsplex! 🐾🏟️

The vision behind the project was to create a lasting symbol for Benjamin Russell Wildcats — a place where players can touch the Wildcat for good luck before games, families can take photos, and memories can be made for years to come.

The team raised more than $24,000 to bring this project to life, learning valuable leadership lessons along the way about teamwork, fundraising, community involvement, and perseverance. From raffle ticket sales for a beautiful Lake Martin art piece to selling commemorative bricks to businesses, alumni, and community members, this team truly rallied the community together.

Once the funds were raised, the work continued with the construction of the pedestal that now proudly holds the Wildcat statue. A huge THANK YOU to our COMMUNITY for supporting this incredible project and to Gene Blair for helping guide and oversee the building of the pedestal. 👏

Now it’s time to celebrate! 🎉

Join the Yellow Team tomorrow at 5:00 PM at Martin-Savarese Stadium for the official unveiling ceremony and become part of Wildcat history!
