π₯β¨ Lake Martin Leadership Day β Healthcare & Service in Action β¨π₯
Our Lake Martin Leadership class spent the day gaining firsthand insight into the healthcare systems and community services that impact our region every single day.
The morning began at Lake Martin Community Hospital with a warm welcome from Nancy Bolton and Karen Treadwell, followed by a tour of the Ivy Creek facility which included the hospital, ambulance service, pharmacy, rehab, and gym! Seeing the dedication behind patient care in our rural communities was both inspiring and eye-opening.
Next stop β Thomas C. Russell Airport for an incredible Haynes Life Flight demonstration led by Amanda Matthews and her flight crew. π Watching this lifesaving team in action reminded us just how critical emergency air services are for Lake Martin and surrounding communities.
The afternoon was spent at Russell Medical, where leadership shared an inside look at the Foundation, Advanced Care services, Cancer Center, and Wound Care Center. It was powerful to hear from Mabry Cook, Brandi Worthy, George Miranda, and Karen Treadwell about the innovation and compassion driving healthcare forward in our region.
The day concluded with a visit to Bill Nichols Veterans Home, where our class spent time learning more about the incredible care and support provided to those who have served our country. πΊπΈ It was a meaningful way to wrap up a day centered around leadership and community impact.
Takeaway from the day: We are incredibly thankful and grateful for the healthcare providers serving Dadeville and Alexander City. It is powerful to see the collaboration between these organizations working together for the good of Tallapoosa County β supporting Alexander City and Dadeville with compassionate, high-quality care.
People need healthcare, and we are truly blessed to have these caring professionals right here at home β ready to serve and care for our communityβs needs. π
And a special brag moment for Nancy Bolton and Karen Treadwell for doing a fantastic job leading our class through such an informative and meaningful day. Their leadership and heart for our community truly shine. π
