The Friends’ group is proud to support the summer reading program at the Aledo Public Library! We will be providing the end of summer raffle prizes, as well as providing free books for reading levels completed throughout the summer via our Read it Forward initiative with Second Story Books.

It is National Library Week and the Aledo Public Library is celebrating! This year's theme, "Find Your Joy", is an invitation for people to explore and discover what sparks joy in them at the library. Today we recognize the right to read -- and invite you to visit the to borrow a new-to-you book or two!📚

During National Library Week, April 19-25, 2026, discover your library joy.

• Stop by your library and bring someone with you.
• Help a friend sign up for a library card.💳 It’s one small step that opens up endless possibilities.

📣Library Giving Days in North Texas continue through the weekend!

🔖Library Giving Day started as an idea from the Seattle Public Library Foundation and Carl Bloom Associates back in 2019 and has since grown into an international movement that supports public libraries.

This year, North Texas expanded this fundraising effort with even more time to give your financial support. 💲Your dollars will help enhance and grow library programming, including summer reading☀📚, story times📖, STEAM events, digital literacy initiatives, author visits🗣, and more!
