There's still time to enjoy Fall Fest! The Clintstone's are playing at Ferg's Public House until 10pm. Throw a sweatshirt on, bring a chair, head on over! They are so talented- it's fun and free! All ages welcome. Another great option is to head to the Aledo Opera House to enjoy Ghostbusters. The Iowa Ghostbusters 2 group is there raising money for the Stead Children's Hospital in Iowa City. You can donate in the lobby - come enjoy the show and support a wonderful cause. So much fun Saturday evening in Downtown Aledo!

So many fun things planned for Fall Fest! Besides all the great shopping, what is there to do? Well:
*Join us at Alley Art, our annual chalk art event. Open to all ages, drop by anytime between 11 and 3 to complete your masterpiece. You can sign up and pay at the event!
*1pm- Volleyball Tournament! Bring friends/ family/whoever you like and drop-in - green space outside Fire Station. Now open to ages 16+, teams can show up tomorrow at 1 and still join. The fee is $60 and all proceeds go to the Mercer County Family YMCA. It should be sunny and warmish by 1!
*1pm-Polka Cake Walk (yes, a cake walk set to Polka Music). And old-fashioned cake walk, with all goodies provided by local cottage vendors, including:

The Oinkery
The Perryton Cottage
Joni’s Kitchen

*All Day- Yard Games in the Park.

For Grown-Ups only:

*530ish- Brat Eating Contest/Stein Holding Contest in front of Ferg's Public House (Registration required prior to events)

This is going to be such a cool addition to Fall Fest and it raises money for the YMCA! The great news is, this is now open to ages 16 and up. You can still register a team or bring your team to sign up on Saturday. Click below to register online or you can contact the Mercer County Family YMCA. Stop by in person there to sign up or show up at the park this Saturday, October 17!

Fall Fest is almost here! Just one week from today, Saturday October 17, from 10AM-10PM, Downtown Aledo has something for everyone! This awesome event is in collaboration with Ferg's Public House annual Fergtoberfest. We will have vendors, the Alley Art chalk art event (all ages welcome), great fall food both at Ferg's and in the park, and great live music all day and evening, featuring The Clintstone's from 6-10pm. There will be a volleyball tournament run by the Mercer County Family YMCA, contact them for more information.

Need an inside break? Head to the Aledo Opera House for Monsters, Inc. or Ghostbusters. Downtown businesses like Odd Bettie’s , Sweet Repeats Resale & Mini Craft Mall, The Alley Marketplace, Downtown Bricks (the local Lego store), and Mary Go Round(children's resale) are all just steps away from the festival and will be open. Make sure you stop in to see all they have to offer!

The City of Aledo’s fall clean-up collection is October 12. Please have your large items at the curb by 4 a.m. and remember the limit is one truckload per household.
