Just a reminder, the food pantry will be closed tomorrow. If you don’t need to get out, stay inside safe and warm.

Also- one other update- we have decided to push our Open House back a couple of months to Sunday, June 14- after the weather breaks and the busy months of April/May. More details to come later…

This community is amazing! Thank you so much for the support you have given the food pantry in food, monetary donations, your time in collecting donations or simply by getting the word out. It is all so greatly appreciated! We look forward to serving this community for years to come, thanks to YOU!

Mark your calendars for Sunday, March 22 when we plan to host an Open House to celebrate 15 years at our current location and 35 years of Sharon Lingafelter's service as our coordinator. Details to come later... Thank you!

Thank you to the American Legion and those who went above and beyond Friday, Dec 12, to raise $1,400 for the Food Pantry! This community is truly amazing! Thank you!!

Don Greer, Lynn Howard and George Howard presented Barb Hill and Martha Bedford with a check of $1400 for the MerCo Food Pantry from a Special Bingo Raffle that was held at the Aledo American Legion on December 12th.

Fill the Hearse to Fight Hunger this November!

This November, Nichols Bewley Funeral and Cremation Services invites the community to come together for a meaningful cause — “Fill the Hearse to Fight Hunger!”

They are collecting non-perishable food items to support the Churches of Mercer County Food Pantry - Illinois, along with pet food and supplies for The FurEver Friends for Mercer County Illinois Friends for Mercer County at the local animal shelter. 🐾

Drop-Off Location: Nichols Bewley Funeral Home & Cremation Services: 103 SW 3rd St. Aledo, IL 61231

When: Friday- November 7, from 9am to 3pm & Saturday- November 8, from 8am to Noon

If you're wondering what we're in need of, you can always visit us at www.mercofoodpantry.org - but here is a look at what we are most in need of now: - peanut butter - any canned fruit - any canned vegetable - cereal - boxed potatoes - pastas - also sundries such as shampoo, bar soap, toilet paper, toothpaste.
