After much prayer, wise counsel, and careful stewardship consideration, we have made the decision to sell our property and transition to operating without a permanent facility.

Why? Because we believe this move will allow us to better steward the resources God has entrusted to us and expand our reach beyond the limits of a single location.

Operating without the financial weight of property ownership will allow us to:

• Redirect funds from building expenses into direct ministry impact
• Increase outreach efforts in the community
• Partner more strategically with churches and organizations
• Serve more individuals and families in need
• Remain flexible and responsive to where God is moving

Our mission has not changed. If anything, it has grown stronger. Healing Hope is not a building — it is a calling.

Would you help us in this transition by sharing this beautiful property? It is so bittersweet as we love this place so much, but we know God has big things in store.

Hello friends. It’s time to start thinking about the Walk to Remember. This years (Alcester) walk will be held in Sioux Falls this year at Spirit of Joy Church. We’re excited about this location for so many reasons. More parking, an amazing indoor space to gather, sidewalks and a sweet memorial garden just to name a few. We are excited for you to join us! Maybe you are new to the walk and want to honor a child. Start with a memorial sign, you can order on our website and we’ll help with the layout/design. These signs are then printed and included along the walking path. We also print t-shirts! When you order a shirt, you can include the name of your child and their name will be included in the group of names listed on the back. Here’s to 10 years in ministry! Today, March 25th, our paperwork was stamped by the State of SD. Why is this so special to us? Well, it also happens to be our son Asher’s birthday (whom is the reason behind it all). 💙 Only God could do that! 🙌

The evening will include live music by our friend Jason Larson and his son JT, an excellent meal catered by our friends at the Downtown Grille (Orange City, IA) and a powerful Message of Hope shared by our mentors, Pat and Judy Misener.

We would love for you to join us for our Night of Hope in Sioux Falls on March 21st. It will be a special evening as we gather to celebrate a decade of ministry, while also honoring and remembering children gone too soon.

The evening will include live music by our friend Jason Larson and his son JT, an excellent meal catered by our friends at the Downtown Grille (Orange City, IA), a meaningful slideshow, a candle-lighting, and a powerful Message of Hope shared by our mentors, Pat and Judy Misener.

Denny and I met Pat and Judy in October 2012, just three short months after our son Asher passed away. As founders of Smile Again Ministries, they met us with such grace and hope during one of the darkest seasons of our lives. Our experience there was life-changing. After three visits, we knew God was calling us into ministry to serve grieving families just as they had served us.

We invite you to come, hear their hearts, be filled with hope, and connect with others walking this journey.

HELD – Through Grief by Grace is an eight-week, faith-based grief support series for adults mourning the death of a loved one. Rooted in faith and supported by grief education, this series offers a compassionate space for healing, hope, and connection.

Each session includes guided teachings and small-group discussions organized by type of loss (child, spouse, parent, sibling).
