We are thrilled to host these fabulous volunteers from Amy Biehl High School Foundation at our St. Vincent de Paul ABQ Thrift Store this semester. They will be serving monthly in our warehouse, helping us to organize, prep, and deliver clothing and other goods to our store. Our organizations share a commitment to service and justice, and we are honored to welcome these students as they serve the community in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul.

Through its competitive grant cycle, The Catholic Foundation has generously awarded grants to SVdP for human services in the amount of $151,000! We had a great time tabling this summer at the Los Griegos Health and Social Services Center as part of the Health, Housing & Homelessness Community Health and Social Services Fair.

We love the partner organizations we get to meet and greet at these events, and especially, we love connecting with the community to share information about our services and supports.

Interested in inviting St. Vincent de Paul to your next resource fair? Reach out to us at [email protected].

Congratulations to Jeanette and the San Clemente Conference in Los Lunas for this amazing feature celebrating their work and important partnership with The New Mexico Children, Youth, and Families Department.

A Los Lunas woman who has helped Valencia County families for 15 years received a Pay It Forward surprise for answering calls day or night. ⬇️ Story link in comments

Stop by our St. Vincent de Paul ABQ Thrift Store for some unique finds, and you will see that, for the months of August and September, we are offering the opportunity to add on a donation to your purchase to support our Clearinghouse Helpline with essential utilities funding to help keep our neighbors cool during some of our hottest days and months.

Even $5 can make a tangible difference to a family at risk of having their air conditioning or swamp cooler disconnected.

Last year, St. Vincent de Paul Society Archdiocese of Santa Fe served neighbors with $2,000,000 in rent and utilities. Support a neighbor with keeping the lights and air on during these days of soaring temperatures next time you are shopping in our store. 💙

Shoppers at our ABQ Albuquerque Thrift Store now have the option to make a donation to support an SVdP program with every purchase. We piloted this program in June and July, and thanks to the incredible generosity of our shoppers, we raised $3,692.04!

These funds were raised to help provide families and children with essential food items while school was out for the summer. With many children relying on school meals for daily nutrition, your support helped bridge the gap and make sure our neighbors had access to nutritious food when they needed it most.

The funds raised in June and July here at our ABQ Thrift Store were distributed to pantries in the following communities to help fight food insecurity through the purpose of proteins, grains, and other essential grocery staples:

• Albuquerque
- International District
• South Valley
- North Valley
• Bernalillo
• La Joya/Sabinal
• Peña Blanca

Thank you to everyone who chose to give. Your generosity is helping make a difference for our neighbors, one purchase at a time.
