Directions Website

Artful Life Artful Life is a New Mexico-based organization dedicated to transformational change through the beauty and power of creative collaboration.

Artful Life projects are designed to transform communities through the beauty and power of collaborative art. Professional artists and residents of underserved communities work together over months and years to envision and co-create significant works of art. Since 2015, Artful Life has been dedicated to youth artist teams: teen artists who are paid to collaborate, learn community engagement, and co-create works of art in their own neighborhoods with families, neighbors, and friends. Arts engagement leads to social cohesion, leadership, individual and collective capacity which catalyzes a range of subsequent community-led development initiatives. Artful Life, based in New Mexico, is dedicated to the belief that revitalization is an individual and collective process fueled by creative inspiration, labor, and a thoughtful approach.
