๐ The Lutheran Church of Myanmar has a story rooted in faithful, patient ministry. Christianity first reached the region in 1722, and the famous missionary Adoniram Judson became the first resident Protestant missionary in 1831. The first Lutheran missionary arrived in 1878.
In 1995, leaders from three congregations shaped by Martin Luther's teaching began preparing to start a Lutheran church body of their own. After years of preparation, the Lutheran Church of Myanmar was officially formed in 2000.
Pray with us: thank God for nearly two centuries of Gospel faithfulness in Myanmar and ask Him to continue building His church there.
