New Mexico Out of School Time Network

New Mexico Out of School Time Network The mission of the Network is to create, strengthen and sustain a statewide system of support for quality afterschool/ out of school time programs.

We bring together policymakers, educators, childcare providers, youth development workers, and other stakeholders interested in ensuring positive youth development opportunities and outcomes through afterschool programs. About NMOST formerly known as NMASA

The New Mexico Out of School Time Network (NMOST) brings together policymakers, educators, childcare providers, youth development workers, and

other stakeholders interested in ensuring positive youth development opportunities and outcomes through afterschool programs. To ensure a viable and sustained network structure within the state, NMOST established a leadership council with diverse members from across the state whose role it is to guide the implementation of a statewide strategic plan focused on afterschool out of school time program quality, public awareness of the benefits of a quality afterschool out of school time experience, advocacy and policy development, professional development, linked learning strategies, and partnership development to increase the network base.

This Thursday, don't miss the webinar "Supporting Tribal Organizations to Expand Summer EBT Access" from the Food Research & Action Center

The Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (Summer EBT) Program is a permanent, federally funded program that helps families access the nutrition they need during the summer months. Both Indian Tribal Organizations (ITOs) and states have successfully operated this program for the past two years, but not every entity eligible to administer the program has opted in. Join FRAC and the Indigenous Food and Agriculture Initiative to discuss a new resource that examines Summer EBT from an ITO lens, including who is eligible to operate, the benefits of ITO-operated Summer EBT programs, the challenges faced by ITOs, and what supports could be provided to expand participation.
