We were told, “Welcome home.” And somehow, thousands of miles from ours, it felt like it.
We crossed dangerous waters to reach a remote island in Papua New Guinea’s Trobriand Islands, slipping through a mangrove forest into a world that felt almost untouched. Fresh fish from the sea. Fruit from the trees. Island life at its most beautiful.
But the thing that stayed with us wasn’t the scenery.
It was watching God’s Word become part of the rhythm of everyday life; heard, understood, and shared in a language that speaks directly to the heart.
We came looking for the edge of the world.
Instead, they welcomed us home.
And God’s Word was already there.
