The inspiration for our group comes from the amazing imagery behind Project Semicolon, a non-profit that is dedicated to presenting hope and love to those who struggle. When we saw the awesome movement of people celebrating the cause, we wanted to give them a way to make that statement every day. The staff and friends of the Agora Crisis Center started the first tattoo event in Albuquerque, NM, an

d we have only continued to grow into an international movement. Getting inked with a semicolon is a way for those who have experience with mental health issues to permanently and publicly show their remembrance and support for those who are still fighting. We bring attention to subjects such as self-harm, depression, and su***de by starting conversations over body art. Our mission is to push back against the stigma that surrounds mental health with positive awareness. The more we talk about it, the more people get the help they need when they need it. Our organization is a judgement-free zone. We're allies of the LGBTQ community and strive to foster an equal and open world that is a better place for everyone. We also raise money for underfunded programs doing good work for real people. The semicolon tattoo is a way to help those who, all too often, suffer in silence. Make your mark; start a conversation.
