Janine Wilson has a painting in the New Mexico Watercolor exhibition in the Fine Arts Building at Expo NM from May 2 - 24. The opening reception is Saturday, May 2 from 1-4. Hours are Thursday - Sunday, 10-4. This painting is titled "Family Stroll".

Lyla Garcia, Fran Krukar and Janine Wilson have paintings at The Gallery ABQ. Hours are 11-4, Tuesday - Saturday. Closing reception is Friday, April 24, 1-4 pm. Come for good food, art and conversation.

Yucca Branch of the National League of American Pen Women present an Ekphrastic exhibition at FUSION I 708, February 6 – 28, 708 1st St. NW. Art inspired by poetry and music and poetry and prose inspired by 2 and 3D art. Reception is Friday, February 6 from 5-8 pm.

Jacqueline Loring will be giving a presentation on the History of the Kimo Theatre as part of the Route 66 celebration for the Albuquerque historical Society. The event will be Saturday, January 24 at the Unser and Central library, 8801 Central NW from 11-12.

A series of about 20 murals painted in 2007 by Sharon Higgins at First United Methodist Church - depicting mostly biblical scenes but with the occasional UFO thrown in for fun - got a high-resolution photo treatment earlier this year (DAN, 6/24/25). The results have now been compiled into a booklet titled "Pictures in the Stairwell," and it's on sale for $10. Anyone interested in a copy can stop by FUMC on Sundays from 8:30 a.m. to noon or call the church at 505-243-5646 to make other arrangements.

Janine Wilson has three paintings at the Weems Art Gallery Muse exhibition which opens with a reception on Friday, June 6, 5-8 pm. The exhibition runs until June 29. Hours are Monday - Saturday, 10-4 pm.

Jeannie Hope Gibson will present One World at the Santa Fe World Affairs Forum on Thursday, January 30 at 2 pm. Jeannie completed this project during the COVID lockdown. This piece is an installation of 48 portraits at the First United Methodist Church in Los Alamos. They are people she met during her world travels. "Even with our vast personal differences or location on this earth, we are all interconnected, an extended family, " says Jeannie.

Janine Wilson has small paintings at Encantada, the annual exhibition of the Rio Grande Art Association. The show is at the Hispanic Arts Building at Expo NM until November 30. Hours are 11-6, Thursday - Sunday. Footprint on Mars is an acrylic painting.
