Our students participated in AMAZING workshops today, with some of New Mexico’s best teachers: Mariachi (Miguel Ojeda, Monica Trujillo, Joseph Santiago, Al Gurule, Jose Carrillo, folklorico, folk dancing, Latin dance, flamenco, hip hop, Haitian, and Aztec dancing (Alex Manzanares, Steven Woodbury, Eva Encinias, Shuga Shane, Shirley Sainte, and Pilar Alcazar). We learned so much and had fun!!!

The Festival de Bellas Artes opens NEXT WEEK at the Kiva Theater in the Albuquerque Convention Center. We will have 1000 students from over 40 K-12 performing groups. The Kiva is a massive theater, so our free evening performances have plenty of space for you, your family, your friends, and your entire neighborhood! So spread the word and share this post! We also need volunteers for everything, so if you have time during the day or during the evening concerts, let me know. Your hearts will be so happy when you see these phenomenal kids. ❤️ (And note that we are NOT at the National Hispanic Cultural Center this year.)

IT'S TIME TO REGISTER FOR FESTIVAL DE BELLAS ARTES!!!!!!! 🥰🥰🥰 Festival de Bellas Artes registrations are due by March 1st. There is no cost to register. We just want groups to participate! Please pass this on to any teachers or club leaders that have multicultural performing arts groups.

Festival de Bellas Artes will take place at the Albuquerque Convention Center and Kiva Theater April 18, 19, 20.
• Tuesday, April 18, high school and middle school groups, all day PLUS a free public evening performance. Students stay all day, bring sack lunches with them, and we feed them pizza for dinner before the 6:00 evening performance. Students are dismissed to parents at the conclusion of the performance.
• Wednesday, April 19, elementary, middle, and high school groups, short day, no evening performance. This is for performing groups who want to participate during the school day only. Students will need to bring sack lunches.
• Thursday, April 20, elementary and middle school groups, all day PLUS a free public evening performance. Students stay all day, bring sack lunches with them, and we feed them pizza for dinner before the 5:30 evening performance. Students are dismissed to parents at the conclusion of the performance.
