Celebrating Jovan! 🌟

Fathers Building Futures is proud to celebrate Jovan A., the first client in our Young Fathers Program! When Jovan came to FBF, he was looking for support and resources as a young father. Through our program, he participated in on-the-job training, gained hands-on experience using new tools and equipment, and built skills and confidence that he can carry with him beyond the workplace.

Along the way, Jovan also participated in FBF’s curriculum focused on areas such as parenting and life skills, supporting his growth both as a father and as an individual. Today, we’re excited to share that Jovan has successfully completed the program and secured full-time employment! 👏🎉

Congratulations, Jovan! We’re proud of everything you’ve accomplished and excited to see what comes next. Remember, the FBF family is always here for you. 💙

Fathers Building Futures is honored to have been selected to create 50 handcrafted urns for the upcoming Forgotten Heroes event hosted by Bernalillo County.

FBF Director of Operations Joseph Shaw and Shop Lead Elijah Smith have been working diligently over the past several weeks to prepare each urn for this meaningful occasion. These urns will serve as a final tribute to veterans who deserve to be remembered and honored for their service and sacrifice. We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute our craftsmanship to such an important effort. Here’s a sneak peek at the work in progress. 🇺🇸💙

Another sneak peek at what’s happening at Fathers Building Futures!

Our team has been hard at work on a special project for Sunward Credit Union, creating 100 sets of handmade coasters for an upcoming event this September!

Projects like this give the fathers in our program an opportunity to put their skills into practice through real, hands-on work while creating quality products for organizations in our community.

We can’t wait to show you the finished product! 💙

Cohort 5 is off to a strong start! 🙌

Fathers Building Futures is currently working with fathers inside our local county jail, providing pre-release Life Skills and reentry services before they return to the community. This time allows our team to begin building relationships, understand each participant's individual goals and needs, and prepare them for what's next.

As participants return home, they can continue their journey through paid On-the-Job Training, case management, individualized goal planning, and ongoing reentry support as they work toward employment and long-term stability.

We're excited to see where Cohort 5 goes from here. 💪

Celebrating the progress of Cohort 4! 🙌

From pre-release services to paid on-the-job training and employment, these numbers represent fathers taking meaningful steps toward greater stability for themselves and their families.

Throughout Cohort 4, Fathers Building Futures provided paid job training, case management, individualized goal planning, and continued reentry support. And while Cohort 4 may have ended, our support hasn't.

Building more than projects, building community.

Fathers Building Futures is proud to recognize our Shop Lead, Elijah, for his craftsmanship on this beautiful memorial Little Free Library honoring Bill and Sally Aber.

Created for St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, the library will soon be installed and filled with books for children in the community to enjoy, encouraging them to take a book, leave a book, and share the joy of reading with others. ❤️

Projects like this are a wonderful example of how the skills and craftsmanship within FBF can be used to create something meaningful for our community.

Congratulations to Elijah on a job well done, and thank you to Elmer Jackson and everyone who helped make this special project possible.

Jude is currently completing his welding training and continues to show dedication, growth, and determination.
