Amendment 3: University Boards

The governor appoints the boards that oversee every New Mexico state college. No screening. No independent review.
Amendment 3 would require a nonpartisan committee to vet candidates first. And student regents would be chosen by student governments — not school administrators.

Less political. More accountable.

Amendment 2: School Funding

School bond elections happen in odd years — when fewer people vote.

Amendment 2 would move school funding questions to the regular November ballot, when more people show up. More voters means the results reflect what more people in the community want.

Amendment 1: Veto Transparency

Should the governor have to explain every veto in writing?
Right now, bills can fail to become law if the governor does not act.

Amendment 1 would change that. If it passes, every veto has to be in writing with a real reason why.
