Due to the travel restrictions currently in effect the Caring for the Human Spirit Conference 2020 that originally was going to happen this week in Albuquerque has become a virtual event. Dr. Bachelor was given the time slot of 10:45-11:45 a.m (Mountain) to meet online with those interested in Warrior Wash. There was good discussion with care providers from the VA and hospice.

The next big event for Warrior Wash is at the Caring for the Human Spirit symposium. It will be good to hear what others are doing and to see old friends as we network with new groups to care for veterans.

The VA conducted Community Clergy Training at University United Methodist Church in San Antonio, TX on Oct 10, 2019. The Warrior Wash was one of the resources discussed. Many participants took copies of "The Sacraments of War" and "Day Eight" back to their churches as resources for their veterans ministry.

On Sept 19, 2019 the Safety Ministry of Serenity Baptist Church in Tucson, Arizona listened to a presentation from Dr. Bachelor entitled Veterans in the Sanctuary. The subject was how veterans can have a ministry using their military training to make their church a sanctuary from violence.

On Feb 2, 2019 Dr. Bachelor will be presenting the concluding remarks and a healing ceremony at "Fight 22." This event highlights the tragic phenomenon of 22 su***des a day among our veterans. The speakers and activities will offer alternatives and hope. Fight 22 will be held on the campus of Legacy Church at 7201 Central Ave. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87121.

It is always encouraging when researchers in other countries read Dr. Bachelor's dissertation on the Warrior Wash. Although three US researchers read the dissertation this week, it was the interest from India that made us expand our vision of what God will do to heal veterans.

The word got out that Dr. Bachelor is back from deployment so the East Mountain Veterans Coffee Club invited him for a talk. He expected the coffee and the conversation but the cherry/peach cobbler was a pleasant surprise. Our thanks go out to Barbara and Cathy at Burger Boy in Cedar Crest for supporting these veterans and Warrior Wash.
