Today is !

The CTHF Ambassador Program supports young adults aged 18-21 by providing opportunities for leadership, mentorship, and professional development. Ambassadors serve as role models and volunteer counselors, helping younger participants navigate camp and year-round activities. They also engage in structured growth experiences such as job shadowing, resume development, mock interviews, and community involvement.

Providing a quality of life to people with disabilities doesn't stop after childhood! We love keeping our ambassadors involved as they gain valuable skills that they will take with them into adulthood.

The Ambassador Program is made possible by the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Mexico Blue Impact grant! This essential funding will help Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation reach more children and young adults with disabilities and broaden our programming that helps them thrive!

Today is Monday!

Adaptive floor hockey was introduced in programming this year. Each child gave their best effort and had great sportsmanship! We are always so proud of their willingness to try new things and cheer each other on.

The fun and the friendships that grow from Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation's programs are made possible by BlueCross BlueShield's Blue Impact grant! We are honored to be one of their chosen grantees in 2026.

Today is Monday! We are kicking off a new week by remembering our 2025 Camp Adventure. One of our CTHF Ambassadors and a staff member are sharing a laugh after the 2025 Camp Adventure Talent Show.

The genuine connections made between our children and young adults and staff members is a true source of joy and belonging. The fulfillment that comes from social connection is why we will always work to provide fun, engaging programs for children with disabilities and their families!

How are you living out your "why" this week?

Friendship is more than a connection - it's a source of confidence, belonging, and joy. On this International Day of Friendship, we celebrate the meaningful relationships that our children build through our Quality of Life programs.

Meet Adriel and Paislee. Both girls come from very rural areas of New Mexico and have had few opportunities to connect with other children living with physical disabilities - until Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation's programs changed everything. Camp Adventure gave them the perfect space to foster a lasting friendship through sports, activities, and singing their favorite country song in the talent show!

"Their friendship has brought [Paislee] so much joy and has helped her develop a more positive outlook on living with her disability", says Paislee's mom, "Having someone who understands her challenges and experiences has given her a sense of belonging that she had been missing. They Facetime every day, and their bond has become a meaningful source of friendship, encouragement, and happiness for both of them".

"Thanks to Camp Adventure, Adriel has made great memories and best friends. It is powerful to be around such a caring community that always welcomes our precious children with a smile," Adriel's mom shares.

Here's to the life-changing friendship, community, and sense of belonging that are made possible by our wonderful donors, sponsors, and volunteers!
